The MantisPod Pro can be used with a smartphone via the holder built into one of the tripod legs, or a digital camera via the 1/4″ SnapLock plate.

7 Shooting Modes

By utilizing multiple features of the MantisPod Pro together, a total of 7 different shooting modes are possible. In addition to vlogging and livestreaming, these modes can help you with taking portraits, taking time-lapse photos, conducting video chat interviews, and much more.

• Elevated Tripod Mode: A standard 3-leg tabletop tripod setup with your device in landscape orientation.
• Vertical Shooting Mode: Keeps the standard 3-leg setup, but switches device orientation to vertical
• Lowered View Mode: Lowers the 3-leg tabletop option so the tripod is nearly flat for low angles.
• Mantis Mode: Like the hooked legs of a praying mantis, a short hook extends from one tripod leg, letting you hang the tripod from fences, railings, glass partitions, and more. NOTE: Surfaces should be no more than 3.5″ thick and the other 2 legs must be set against surfaces for stability.
• Handheld Mode: Squeeze the legs together for this mode that lets you more easily shoot on the move. It can quickly convert to Elevated Tripod mode without altering device orientation.
• Extended Mode: For a longer reach, extend one leg out 140 for additional length when holding the tripod like a selfie stick. This mode is for use with a camera on a SnapLock plate anchored to the dovetail cold shoe on the leg.
• Mobile Vlogging Mode: With the same extension as Extended Mode, but with the mobile phone holder attached to the dovetail cold shoe instead of the camera plate.

SnapLock System

PGYTECH’s SnapLock System accommodates both the SnapLock camera plate and built-in phone holder. Simply insert either into the tripod adapter’s SnapLock mount and it will securely click into place. A push of a button on the adapter lets you quickly release the plate or phone holder. When using the SnapLock plate, a tight-fitting screw uses a thrust needle roller bearing to reduce friction. This means that when you’re rotating the camera for different angles, the friction of the rotation will not cause the plate to become unscrewed from the camera.

Unbelievable! Creative Design! Safe! It Works!

I gotta say that when I watched the reviews of the Mantispod on YouTube I instantly put it on my wish list. NO hesitation. A few months later when sent it may way, I was even more impressed! This incredible tripod does it all. My instant go-to tripod at home or on the vlogging circuit. I have no need for any other smaller tripod at this point. However, I do find the JOBY 3K still has use, especially when it comes to wrapping it around tress or fence posts. But the MantisPod Pro IS the tripod you want to have for just about all instances, indoor or outdoor. I purchased some some great camera accessories in 2021. But this one is my favorite for both camera and cell phone use!! GET ONE!

A Vlogger’s Best friend

I’m coming from a Joby Gorrillapod set up and although it was good to me the tripod got weak over a year of use. The PGYTech is a sturdy little tripod with crafty ways to easily adjust my setup in seconds. So far I’m loving the build quality and ease of use. I don’t think this tripod has any chance of getting weak on me. Easy recommendation for vloggers.
